Healing starts with us
Join us for a 5 km Walk for Reconciliation on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation! We will be departing from the Penticton Peach and making our way along the channel to the SIRS Monument outside the Penticton Hatchery on En’owkin Trail.
We will have a shuttle available at the Penticton Hatchery at 9:30 am to shuttle you to the Peach for those who want to participate on the walk!
Please Note: Please attend walk at your own risk, the ONA is not responsible as this is a public event. We will have lunch at the monument but priority will be given to Syilx IRS Survivors, Syilx elders and nation members.
Walk is open to everyone. Remember to wear your orange shirts!

The Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2SLBTQQIA+ (MMIWG2S) has been a National tragedy over many decades and has affected the Syilx Nation directly through the loss of our loved ones within our communities.
The 4th annual MMIWG2S Gathering will feature Keynote speakers and presentations on some of the current issues so the Syilx Nation can begin to take action moving forward.
Please Note: We will also be hosting a Sisters in Spirit Vigil on October 4th at the Kelowna Courthouse from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. Open to everyone and no registration is required to attend.
